The food we eat is our nutritional powerhouse keeping our body healthy. But what are really the best foods for weight loss? It would surely go a long list! So instead of giving you specific foods to eat, here are some tips on maximizing your food to stay healthy and maintain that perfect figure:

Right amount, right kind
You can go a long way when you choose the right amount and the right kind of food. Doing simple math, all you really have to do is to eat fewer calories than what you can burn and eat lesser as you approach night time.

Break the fast
They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day as it breaks the fast after a long sleep. You also need it to jump start your day and there are a lot of best breakfast foods for weight loss that can do it. Try digging in to egg scrambles and omelets for breakfast as they help you trim inches.

Fiber-rich foods
Fiber-rich foods are good for digestion. Oats are healthful, so you better start making good food out of it now. Also, raw fruits have more fiber. So instead of juicing fruits, try chewing them. This way, it signals the brain that you have eaten enough to make you full, causing you to eat less.

Feel Full longer
Eating foods that make you feel full longer stops you from eating more. These foods includes those that are slow to digest like beans. Cut back the calories and eat vegetables as they add a low-calorie bulk to a tasty dish and to your diet of course!

Sweets First
Drinking water 30 minutes before eating your meal could make wonders to your diet. But wouldn't it be better to eat something tasty, something sweet? Yes, sweets and they could mean dark chocolate or fruits. This way, you tend to feel half-full before the main course. Also munching nuts, though not sweet, is proven to make you eat less at later meals.

No place for JUNK
Salt and sugar make you eat more. So start saying no to eating junk food or other salty and sugary food, including soft drinks. Instead, try eating salad bowls or confection of food and vegetables. Also, milk is better than those soda drinks. So eat and drink wisely.
