ZUMBA: Self-Care and Self-Compassion Packaged

Often we are hardest on ourselves. That really is a good thing, something necessary for us to achieve new heights. But the mind and the spirit needs something that can be completely counted on to lift us when life’s challenges weigh heavily. Zumba is that rock you can count on for a guaranteed uplifting experience wherever you are at that specific day, time, or moment in your life.

Self-care is your responsibility and it is a reminder that your health and happiness are worth the time and effort. Taking care of yourself includes nourishing yourself with healthy foods and participating in uplifting and de-stressing activities like Zumba. Simply put, Zumba is fun. The more you enjoy your exercise routine, the more likely you are to stick with it. Many people say they have so much fun dancing that they forget they are actually exercising. Turning your attention to dance, and away from the daily grind is a great way to relieve stress. Zumba will be effective in reducing fatigue, improving alertness and concentration. It is a fun activity that will keep you moving as you go with the beat of the music.

You will start feeling better when you do things for yourself that bring more comfort, peace of mind and balance into your life. You will gather more energy and even cope better with your daily stressors. Instead of sulking in one corner why not head to the gym and join a Zumba workout session that will give you an energy boost. In addition, socializing with friends after a session of dancing will uncover the power of self-compassion to boost positive emotions and make you feel better. You will improve your self-care by cultivating self-compassion. Always bear in mind that nothing in life stays the same, this holds true for self-care, too. Remind yourself that you are worth the effort. It will not take long before you begin to see the difference.

Spinning fitness is on the rise in popularity for good reason, it works! It is a great source for you to overcome fear, unlock your unique potential and feel confident. Let’s talk first about fear.

Many people fear the long-term deficits associated with high impact sports, specifically sports that break down knee functionality. Runners are the most common converts to spinning and cycling for this very reason. Spinning is not an impact sport. Each spin class will help you build your main muscles used for cycling and your cardiovascular system.

It is a pleasure to see that spinners are a very supportive athletic lot. Within our spinning class it is common for your fellow classmates to encourage each other both during and after the workout. Because of this, you will find yourself working harder and inspired by those around you. If you’ve never experienced the rewards of indoor spinning, you simply must give it a try.
