At Answer is Fitness – Canton, one of the most common questions we hear is:
"How long should I be working out each day?"
And the answer might surprise you — it's not about spending hours in the gym. It's about training smart and staying consistent.
The Sweet Spot:
For most adults, 30 to 60 minutes per day is enough to achieve your fitness goals, especially if your workouts are well-structured and goal-focused.
Whether you're aiming for fat loss, strength gains, improved endurance, or just staying active, this timeframe hits the mark.
What Should You Be Doing?
- Strength Training: 2–4 days/week
- Cardio (HIIT, walking, cycling, etc.): 3–5 days/week
- Mobility + Recovery: Daily, even if just 5–10 mins
You don’t need marathon workouts to see progress. In fact, overtraining can hold you back and lead to injury or burnout.
Remember:
- Consistency beats intensity
- Recovery is just as important as your workouts
- Progress takes time – but it’s worth it!
