Personal Trainer Jeff Fortier's Recommendation - A Client's Feedback
Since August of 2023, my husband Tom has been training with Jeff Fortier, the owner of The Answer is Fitness. About 5 years ago, Tom was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. People with Parkinson’s have trouble with muscle control and are very prone to falls. After his last fall, he was rushed to the hospital and needed several stitches.
Upon leaving the hospital, Tom’s doctor prescribed physical therapy, which he did, but after a while, the exercises tapered off and eventually he stopped. I could see that my husband’s physical strength was in serious decline, and I feared for Tom’s safety. I asked a friend, who is an avid skier, for the name of the trainer that he uses, and he strongly recommended Jeff. I’ll always be grateful for this recommendation.
With Jeff, Tom’s experience is vastly different than traditional physical therapy. He works with Jeff two times per week, and his physical condition as well as his overall sense of well-being are the best they’ve been since his diagnosis.
With Jeff’s positive encouragement, my husband feels more willing and able to push himself. Equally important, he really enjoys working with Jeff, who is a kind man with an upbeat, can-do approach to training. Jeff sees the whole person, not just the exercises that need to be performed. My husband will continue to work with Jeff for as long as this disease allows him. We highly recommend anyone in a similar situation to do the same.
