So you’ve decided to invest in yourself by hiring professional personal trainer services. Well, first, congrats to you. So many people testify that professional personal training is one of the single most productive investments that they’ve ever made. OK, so what do you do now?
The first thing is to discuss your plans with anyone you know who currently trains under the guide of an Answer is Fitness personal trainer. This need not be a close friend. If you’ve made the slightest acquaintance of another member of our fitness center, talk to them. Chances are they will be a wealth of information and be able to provide keen insight into the process. A great way to choose a Personal Trainer is to personally introduce yourself to any Answer Is Fitness Trainer or schedule a complimentary consultation. If you can't do that right away, then go to our website to meet our personal training staff, their personal trainer programs, and philosophies.
When looking for a trainer, consider the following:
- A Personal Trainer that has experience in achieving the goals you desire (e.g., weight loss/gain, sports conditioning, sport or hobby performance, etc.).
- Whether the trainer can train you at a time that is most convenient for you.
- Whether you prefer a male or female trainer.
- Schedule a consultation with a Personal Trainer to determine what they can do for you. A consultation will help you determine whether they are the right “coach” for you.
One of the first things your personal trainer will do is recommend that you accomplish a Fitness Assessment”. The purpose of a fitness assessment is to gather information related to your current level of physical fitness. This information may be used to establish an exercise program specific to your needs, evaluate progress in your current exercise program, establish goals, provide motivation, and identify possible health injury risks. VERY important is the fact that you will establish a fitness baseline to serve as a comparative tool as you progress. This is extremely important as it facilitates empirical evidence that your program is producing results. You will be amazed at how quick this system turns you into a self-motivated fitness enthusiast.
