Barre fitness is a true cardio fitness program that incorporates ballet-type physical demands. It offers creative design and limitless workout variations Ballet-like moves expand and strengthen muscles and burn calories. This ballet-inspired fitness targets abs, thighs and glutes. It is a complete cardio and leg developmental program.
The emphasis of Barre fitness is on proper alignment, balance, and core engagement. This requires the fitness routine to move at a slower pace than most routines. In this class, you will be doing a combination of ballet positions and Pilates moves to target the abs. And for the arms muscles, there are lateral arm raises and triceps lifts. Expect also to perform movements like plies, leg lifts, extensions, and other ballet-inspired moves that target the legs. And to tone the backside you will be targeting moves like glute raises. This will gently improve your flexibility. Doing this ballet exercise will not drench you in sweat however you will feel the burn after a class. It blends cardio, strength training, flexibility, balance, and core conditioning in a total body workout.
