It is essential to dedicate time to working on yourself. You will discover something about yourself, unleash your potential, develop self-confidence and self-worth, more healthy relationships, and a more fulfilled and purpose-driven life. It is a WIN situation.
Trusting the process in fitness will teach you patience. It is easy to come up with your fitness plan. Though you are excited, motivated, and eager to customize a plan that will fit your interests, fitness level, and time constraint. But sticking to that plan for the long term is different than planning. It is a big challenge for yourself. The first few days of working out are invigorating and fueled by motivation, however that initial excitement tends to wane as time goes on. If you fall off the fitness bandwagon, know that you are not alone. Always remember that fitness is a long-term commitment, and a few days off will not make or break the game. Focus on small wins. When you meet your fitness goals, you will be motivated but it will be frustrating when they take a long time to achieve. So instead of focusing on the big-picture goals, break your fitness journey into smaller milestones.
Lastly, never compare yourself to others. Everyone has to start somewhere and work up to where they are today. Keep in mind that what others do has no bearing on you personally, and the only thing that matters is what you will do. Focus on your own goals and stay more committed to your fitness journey.
