Mastering your mindset is a constant work in progress, and like everything, it influences your outputs and outcomes in your health and fitness journey. Exercise is more than just physical, it is therapeutic. It is not about the changes you make to your workout; it is about the changes your workout makes to you. If you have a positive mindset and belief in your abilities, it will help you meet your fitness goals.
Never be afraid to try something new. Get hold of your mindset and fight back the fear, act and achieve the success you deserve. Because life gets boring when you stay within the limits of what you already know. Set your mind to see life as a journey, rather than a bunch of destinations. Then you will realize that joy is in the journey. And you will see your progress, celebrating your small successes and looking at your obstacles and mistakes as challenges rather than failures. Sometimes you are always waiting for the time to be right and set your mind to start something when you have everything figured out. But the reality is, you will not always have everything figured out and that will be okay. Acknowledge what is happening, figure out what you will do in your power. And go do that. Begin to see through your efforts of consistently taking baby steps, developing good habits, focusing on the process rather than the goal. Commit to being a little better than what you were this past year and that will do great.
Get comfortable making those uncomfortable decisions and honestly, life is all about trial and error. You have some successes, and you learn some lessons, either way you know what works and what does not work. Just do the basics and keep moving. Whether it is an inch or a mile, forward is progress. Your mental state has a direct impact on your overall health, behaviors, and your ability to achieve physical results.
