No matter what journey you are on in life like fitness, work, mental health, etc., your mindset will ultimately either hold you back or help you be successful and reach your goals. Always remind yourself that though you are losing definition as you are watching your body slowly change is just a part of the process but still challenges yourself. Believe that you are still getting stronger and stronger every day.
It is all about turning those negatives into positives. Your perspective is just a powerful thing, do not let those negative thoughts consume you and hold you back from reaching your fitness goals. Always be kind to yourself and trust the process. There will always be challenges you will face along whatever journey you will be on. But it is how you respond to them that matters. If you are not happy with how you look, change your training style with the help of a coach and turn into a more functional strength and conditioning split and the changes in your body follows. You will be fitter, healthier and thriving. You will look forward to training sessions and moving your body in different ways as you are challenging yourself. Further, do not waste your time with small achievable goals. Make your goals and dreams feel impossible, then think about what you need to do to make them possible. You want to achieve a big enough goal. If you will not work on it, you will be wasting your time doing things that do not matter and that will not help you progress in the right direction.
Let this be a sign that if you are in a rut with your training you will get out of it. Try something new and out of your comfort zone. You never know what you will achieve. Ask yourself, what is your fitness goal by the end of the year? If it feels very possible, dream bigger. Once you do this, you will allow yourself to be more open to new opportunities that will come your way and you will see things differently. That is when your challenge starts!
