There are common misperceptions regarding the benefits and value of personal fitness training. The common misperception is that they are there primarily to teach you how to use the equipment. Fitness center staff can do that, so you really don’t need them? Perhaps you think they are too expensive. First, not all fitness center staff are as professionally trained in equipment operation as ours here at Canton’s AnswerIsFitness. Regarding expense, a most common description given about professional personal training is “best value investment of my life”. That’s because it is so much more than these two things.
Personal training doesn't just teach you how to use the gym and the fitness equipment; they equip you with all the tools you need to reach your ideal weight and to meet your fitness goals. What are your fitness goals? Really, stop to think about that. Do you have any? Are they obscure goals, like, “I want to lose weight” or “I want to wear a smaller size.”
Those fitness goals are not defined enough. How much weight? In what time-frame? Why? To want to lose weight is not a specific enough goal. “I want to lose 20 pounds by next week” is not realistic enough.
Working out with personal trainers helps you define your weight loss and fitness goals. When your goals are not defined and unrealistic, working out gets frustrating and unrewarding, making it easier to quit your routine.
With well defined and thought out fitness goals, personal trainers help you obtain that ideal you and achieve goals you can maintain throughout the rest of your life. At Answer if Fitness our personal trainers will help you establish life changing health goals; work with you to set an ideal timeline to accomplish those goals; and show you how to achieve those goals.
