Many gyms have responded to the Coronavirus by emphasizing their cleaning routines. As the outbreak continues, most of the gyms are stepping up and taking precautions to protect their members from the virus. Fitness facilities have set up practices to thoroughly clean equipment more frequently. Extensive cleanliness policies and procedures are in place. There are the recommended fitness facility sanitation measures that we accomplish and that you should demand of your fitness center:
- Keep things clean. Gyms are scheduling regular and thorough cleaning of all facilities and all equipment, surfaces, and areas of the club and gym floor using disinfectant cleaning supplies. It uses hospital-grade solution regularly throughout the day in order to maintain clean equipment.
- Increase frequency of cleaning. For extreme caution it increases the frequency to clean high tough common areas during peak time. In addition there are overnight cleaning crews working an extra shift in the gym.
- Follow social distancing. Avoid close contact with fellow fitness enthusiast.
- Hand hygiene: Wash your hands using soap and water regularly. This is the best way to control transmission in normal, healthy adults and avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
In the middle of this Coronavirus crisis, it is best to keep yourself reminded to keep calm and to be in the best health. This sounds easy and simple way to follow the everyday precautions like staying at home if you are not feeling well, social distancing, avoid close contact with people, washing your hands frequently and to the extent possible avoid touching high-touch surfaces in public places. The more it will help yourself by washing your hands immediately after touching the equipment. While simple, these instructions are the most effective. Be safe everyone!
