The Barre is a full body workout. It is quick and hits a bit of everything: your quads, back, biceps and core. Full body does not have to mean your workout has to last 60 minutes. Doing exercise for at least 30 minutes a day, sometimes eight minutes is all you got.
Barre is a rigorous workout that blends several exercise types including ballet, Pilates, and yoga into one challenging yet fun workout. There is no getting bored with barre because there will always be a new challenge. Since Barre is known for its primary piece of equipment, the ballet bar, you do not have to have dance experience or be a ballerina to enjoy this workout. But you need to find yourself feeling like one from time to time. In doing Barre, you will be working a lot of different muscle groups over the course of class. Expect to feel the burn and often the shake in your arms, legs, core, and glutes - leading to a great full body exercise session. A barre workout will make you feel like you are pushing yourself to the limit but in reality if you consistently attend class, you will see huge gains in your strength, muscle definition, flexibility and posture.
