Make no mistake, Barre workout is a strenuous low-impact workout meant to target your entire body. This workout is much more challenging than they appear and is great for toning and building core strength. It is a super-energizing whole-body workout that is great for everyone.
The good point in barre workout is offering all the body benefits of a ballet dancer – without attempting a pirouette. Barre workout combines the traditional elements of a classical ballet barre workout with Pilates and contemporary leg exercises that are challenging and focusing on the lower body. It will tone your glutes, hamstrings, and calves, creating that long, lean dancer look. The exercises are fun to perform, and it is wonderful to share the pain with the group in the class while you work at the barre. For beginners, it will start with a short warm up, some using small weights and others starting at the barre. The teacher will demonstrate the movement and corrections for the students to get the most out of every move in every exercise. After a few weeks, most students will see results in their overall leg and abdominal strength, including a decrease in the circumference of the thighs and a lifted buttock. Soon you will see your form and apply corrections that will make you perform the exercise correctly to get the most out of each move while protecting your back.
Doing the Barre workout is continually learning and growing, putting in the work and committing to change to achieve fitness goals. It is now a trend and change is happening and Barre will be a part of that change. Barre is a mental challenge as each movement requires a level of mindfulness to stay engaged. It is almost like a form of meditation, and you will leave each class feeling lifted and calm.
